2008 Scholarship Winners Announced
Region 1 Chapter VPPPA announced its 2008 Scholarship Winners at the
Region 1 Conference in Newport, RI on Monday, April 28. The winners of
$1000 scholarships selected from 7 applicants were:
The Academic Excellence Scholarship Winner is Ms. Krystal Bibeau (pictured),
Livermore, Maine, a Mathematics Major at the University of Maine at
Farmington. Krystal is the daughter of a Verso Paper, Jay, Maine
employee.
The Occupational Safety / Health Scholarship Winner is Mrs. Dorota
Zuchowicz, Middletown, Connecticut, a Nursing Major at the University of
Connecticut. Dorota is the wife of an Ahlstrom LLC, Windsor Lock,
Connecticut employee.
